No! A small leather pad is placed against the skin as an extra safety precaution, but even if the machine came into contact with the skin it wouldn't hurt.

Our permanent jewellery is made from fine solid gold, so it should not cause you any problems going through airport security. Our team has been through airport security many times without any issues. If you do need to remove your jewellery, use a strong pair of scissors on the jumpring. Keep hold of your chain, and you can visit us in store to have it rewelded.
