Retail Interview Process

If you think that Monica Vinader is where you would like to grow your career and you would like to join our team, read on to find the stages of our application process. Once you have applied for a role through our website, you may be asked to complete one or more of the following stages.

The stages you will complete will be dependent on the type of role you have applied for and the location of the role:

Telephone or Virtual Interview

If your application is successful, you may be invited for a telephone or video interview with a member of our team. This is your opportunity to speak to a member of the MV Team, to inform us why you are the right candidate for the role and demonstrate how you meet our core values. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the role or the Company.

Assessment Centre

You may be invited to attend an Assessment Centre held at our London Head Office. During the Assessment Centre, you will be asked to participate in a group interview, a prioritisation task and a role play in which you will get the chance to demonstrate how you meet our core values and to show off your personality. At the Assessment Centre, you will get to meet various members of our team and you will have the opportunity to learn more about the brand and the Company's values.

Written Task

If you are applying for a Managerial position and your telephone interview is successful, you will be asked to complete a written task. This task will vary depending on the role and will include elements relating to customer relations, prioritisation, stakeholder management or data analysis. You can nominate the exact time that you would like to receive your written task and it will be sent to you by email to complete within the set time limit.

Face-to-Face Interview

Depending on the role you have applied for, an important part of our process is a face-to-face interview with key members of the MV team. Now is your time to fully demonstrate your passion for our Company, how you meet the MV values and what you will bring to our team. We want to see your personality, so relax and take your time to answer questions thoroughly.


Top Tips for Interview

  • Arrive on time for your interview - we will send you details of our location so ensure you plan your route carefully.
  • Don't be afraid to ask anything - this is a two-way process and we will answer any questions.
  • We are interested in your experiences so try to answer questions in the STAR format to clearly demonstrate your abilities (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Remember - we want to hear about why you are the best candidate for this role in particular and what makes you an expert in what you do
  • Try to visit one of our stores and research our brand. This will give you an insight into the MV team, our values and our dress code.
