LYLA GIVES US HER PERSONAL STYLE AND TRAVEL TIPS

What's the best thing about Dubai Creek?
The Creek used to be the heart and soul of the city. This is what Dubai was all about, catching an abra boat from one side of town to the next. Deira is part of old Dubai now but it's still one of my favourite places because it reminds me of my childhood and a simpler Dubai.

In three words, describe Dubai style.
Luxurious, chic and evolving

What signifies the start of spring for you?
The start of spring is very special to me as it also happens to be the Iranian New Year. It's time to enjoy with family and friends and make the most of the lovely weather before the infamous Dubai heat kicks in.

What one wardrobe essential could you not live without?
A pair of well fitted jeans.

Match your metals or mix your metals?
Mix your metals! It is all about having fun with your accessories, and going with what you think looks good and makes you feel good.

I’m known as the diamond freak in my circle of friends! I never leave the house without my diamonds on.

What are your favourite colours for spring?
I love moonstone and lapis as they remind me of the ocean and Dubai's beautiful beaches. I love colour but you can never go wrong with a metallic cord friendship bracelet. I'll take all three - gold, rose gold and silver - so chic!

What's your MV must-have?
Definitely the Fiji Friendship Bracelets. I love stacking them up in different metals and coloured cords and getting them engraved with inspirational quotes. I also love stacking MV rings, especially from the Siren and Riva collections.

Are you a diamond devotee?
I'm known as the diamond freak in my circle of friends! I never leave the house without my diamonds on.

Any tips on hidden gem in the city?
My favourite hidden gem in the city is the Creekside Café. It has a view of the creek and all the traditional Arabian boats and abras. I also love the Sufouh Beach, which is nestled between beautiful mansions with the view of the Palm.

Mix your metals! It is all about having fun and going for what makes you feel good.
