MV Speaks To: Candice Lake And Jade Parfitt On Joy

We sat down with photographer and blogger Candice Lake, and model and presenter Jade Parfitt - the two beautiful faces of our #JoyOfGifting Campaign - to find out what's bringing them joy this holiday season.

The thing I feel most joyful about is...

CL: Giving joy to others! Seeing someone you love light up with happiness is the most joyful thing. I think that is what the holidays are really all about.

JP: The thing I feel most joyful about is my lovely little boy! He is sweet and cheeky and makes me smile every day.

How do you express yourself through jewellery?

CL: I love wearing bright bold pieces and jewellery is an extension of this as I often wear a large statement necklace or an oversized ring.

JP: The jewellery I wear most often usually has some sentimental value as well as beauty. For example, I wear a small diamond ring my mother gave me 10 years ago, and a simple chain ring my best friend Zoe gave me.

What is on your wish list from Monica Vinader?

CL: I have fallen in love with the Riva diamond pieces. I just started my first 'arm party' with a collection of MV pieces and I would love to add a matching diamond friendship bracelet for myself and my sister, to remind me of her each time I wear it, as we live on opposite sides of the world.

JP: I love the beautiful stacking rings and the idea of having five or six and wearing them in different combinations on different days. And then there's the Riva diamond hoop earrings, these are gorgeous and just timeless.

What will you be gifting this Christmas?

CL: My family and I give the gift of being together over Christmas. We all live in different corners of the world so each year, we all make the journey home so that we have Christmas together in Australia. There is nothing better than waking up by the beach, on a hot Christmas morning, surrounded by my family.

JP: I think the idea of engraving friendship bracelets, such as the Ava Friendship Bracelets, makes for a super glamorous gift. My sisters may be in for a treat this year!

We want to know what's bringing you joy, so whether it's who you're gifting, what you're gifting, or what you're wishing for - let us know and help us spread the joy on twitter and instagram using #JoyOfGifting.
